What do students need in order to qualify to receive an invitation to apply to the Frisco Centennial chapter of NHS?​​

Students in their sophomore year need a 4.0+ cumulative weighted GPA from their fall semester report card, no code of conduct/academic integrity violations, and approval by CHS faculty members regarding a student's character and leadership. If these factors are met, students will receive a letter around end of February/beginning of March indicating that they have qualified to apply to NHS.

Whom should You contact if you have a Service Opportunity for your organization that you want advertised?

Use this Google form and fill out the required information thoroughly. Our officer team will get back to you. Please note that filling out this form does not guarantee advertisement for your service opportunity by NHS. 

What are the requirements to be a CHS NHS Member?

NHS Members must maintain standards of Character, Leadership, Service, and Scholarship. In addition, members must perform a minimum of 10 service hours each semester and pay their annual dues of $30. Finally, members must maintain a clean code of conduct record throughout their membership.

How can students transfer their NHS Membership from another school to the CHS NHS?

Students should send an email to cen10nhs@gmail.com and provide a letter from the previous school's principal or NHS advisor.

What are the perks to becoming an NHS member?

Members have access to a plethora of new volunteering events, leadership opportunities, and senior members can apply for a scholarship. Members have a tangible impact on strengthening the community and develop career-readiness skills in their endeavors.

Where can members get more information about NHS?

All members are enrolled in the NHS Canvas page. There, you'll find volunteering opportunities, NHS meetings, and documents, videos and infographics with more information on hours and protocols.
